Linda Van de Velde is a painter from Pulle. Her work is a quest through her own childhood with roots in Belgium and South Africa. This sometimes results in a dreamy atmosphere of the most beautiful childhood memories that took place in South Africa. Her paintings are therefore permeated with emotions and an idiosyncratic color scheme.
The search for suitable visual material is a journey through time for her. The countless photographs that have been collected over the years now form a powerful source of inspiration.
They allow you to wander into the depths of memories. It is a winding path with high mountains and deep valleys.
The attentive viewer will recognize it in the different layers of her work.
But even the darkest nights take on color, the raging waves ever become calm.
Linda Van de Velde studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lier. She graduated in Painting and Drawing.
